Fat Activism and SWAGGA in Liverpool

Liverpool, watch out.

Next Friday I am bringing my book, Fat Activism: A Radical Social Movement and the SWAGGA film to you for your delight and delectation.

This is a free event at the Bluecoat, supported by the excellent DaDaFest, with help from the University of Liverpool. It is going to be audio described and BSL interpreted. News from Nowhere will be there too.

I'll be talking about fat activism, disability and queer stuff. The SWAGGA film, made by Katarzyna Perlak for Project O, is eye-popping (here's the trailer) and represents an extraordinary collaborative dance piece. This will be an unprecedented, radical and exceptional gathering. It could be historic!

Please come and please tell your friends.
